Returning to #1 bestseller One Day with You

In January 2023, my novel One Day With You was released and to my overwhelming surprise and delight, it went on to sell over a quarter of a million copies. Even as I type that number, I still can’t quite believe it and I’m so HUMUNGOUSLY grateful to every single reader who has a copy on their shelf or e-reader.

However, even as I wrote the last word of that story, I knew that I’d come back to it one day, because I was so curious to see what would happen next in the lives of two of the main characters, Noah and Tress, whose worlds were forever changed by the events on that day.

Well, turns out that I wasn’t the only one who wanted to know what destiny had in store for the two friends.

Throughout 2023 I was inundated with messages, comments and reviews that asked that same question. Now, twelve months later, all the answers are right here, in One Year After You.

This book is set on the first anniversary of the day that Tress and Noah found out in the most devastating, dramatic way that their partners were having an affair.

In the opening pages we see that Tress, now mum to one year old Buddy, is taking her first, very tentative steps towards a new romantic relationship. Writing about Tress again was like meeting a much-loved friend after her world had fallen apart, and desperately trying to help her put it back together again, all the while hoping beyond words that the lightning bolt of heartbreak wasn’t about to strike for the second time.

And then, there is gorgeous, faithful, heart-thudding Noah. He was a favourite with readers of One Day With You, and hanging out with him again definitely put a smile on my face every morning as I headed to my desk.

But while One Year After You picks up Tress and Noah’s stories, it’s also a standalone tale that introduces two new characters on a pivotal day in their lives.

As far as the watching world is concerned, the fabulous Odette Devine is the queen of TV soaps and the epitome of glamour and success. What no-one realises is that she’s been betrayed, used, and financially cleaned out by a succession of fickle husbands. And rounding off our cast of main characters is Noah’s sister Keli, who is being ghosted by a secret lover and about to discover the shocking truth behind his decision to shut her out of his life.
