Boldwood announces more author acquisitions and a new German publishing partnership after a successful fifth year of trading.
Boldwood is delighted to announce the acquisition of eight new authors – bringing the total number of writers on its list to 192. This comes after a very strong fifth year of trading when the company grew its revenue by 30% to £9.3m.
The new authors range from the bestselling Scottish crime writer John Carson to international thriller sensations Sam Cogley and Andrew Warren via Lex Faulkner – the master of the action adventure genre. Also joining the list are the feel-good romantic comedy authors Jo Lyons and Clodagh Murphy and the bestselling women’s fiction writer Jill Childs – who is turning her hand to dark domestic noir.
In addition Boldwood are excited to welcome Luke Jennings – author of the original Killing Eve novels which were the basis for the hit TV series. He is bringing his fourth Killing Eve title Resurrection to the list and will continue the series over the next two years. All the new authors have been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English-language territories.
As a further step to bringing their authors to a wider European audience, Boldwood are also delighted to announce a publishing partnership with DP Publishers in Germany. They will publish 50 titles a year over the next three years from across the Boldwood catalogue. The deal was brokered by Boldwood’s translation rights agent Vicki Satlow and follows similar partnerships formed with OverAmstel in the Netherlands, City Editions in France and with Tea Books in Serbia.

The Latest Boldwood Authors
John Carson is the multi-million, bestselling author of numerous Scottish-set crime series. He is bringing a new series set in Edinburgh and featuring DCI Liam Brodie to Boldwood, the first book of which will be published in November 2025.
Jill Childs is the author of bestselling women’s fiction including Gracie’s Secret, published by Bookouture. She is an award-winning BBC foreign correspondent, editor and presenter, and her first domestic thriller for Boldwood, Daughter, Missing, will be published in July 2025.
Sam Cogley is the bestselling author of the Adam Knight thrillers. He will join Boldwood to write a brand new series of action thrillers featuring ‘gun for hire’ Dane Winter, the first of which will be published in October 2025.
Lex Faulkner is the Amazon bestselling author of the Andrew Sterling action-adventure series. He will join Boldwood to write the Ethan Frost ancient mystery thriller series, the first book of which will be published in January 2026.
Luke Jennings is the bestselling author of the acclaimed Killing Eve books, the basis for the hit TV series. He has been shortlisted for numerous awards including the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger. He will be continuing the hugely popular Killing Eve series for Boldwood, with the next Killing Eve: Resurrection published in June 2025.
Jo Lyons is the bestselling author of six romantic comedy novels and has been shortlisted for the Comedy Women in Print Awards. Boldwood will publish Girls Just Want to Have Sun, the first in her laugh-out-loud Benidorm-set series, in June 2025.
Clodagh Murphy is an Irish author of feel-good romantic comedies with rave reviews, including Some Girls Do. Based in Dublin, her first book with Boldwood, A Merry Irish Christmas will be published in September 2025.
Andrew Warren is the California-based, internationally bestselling author of the Thomas Caine thrillers. Boldwood will publish new titles in this high-octane espionage series after reissuing the backlist beginning with Tokyo Black in May 2025.
