Boldwood is delighted to announce the acquisition of fourteen new authors- bringing the total number of writers on their list to 231.
The new writers reflect Boldwood’s energetic acquisition strategy across the romance genre – with bestselling dark romance author Bri Blackwood, cosy magical romance writers Tracy Corbett and Jessica Thorne, billionaire romance sensation KA James and dark romcom author Effie Campbell all joining the list. Alongside them come the paranormal romance author Torri Heat and the writer of a new cowboy romance series Pamela O’Rourke, while the bestselling writing duo Ashlyn Kane and Morgan James are bringing a new queer hockey romance series to Boldwood.
To further strengthen our highly successful historical fiction list we are delighted to welcome Alex Gough with an action-packed Roman series and Patrick Larsimont with a WW2 series inspired by the 1st Special Service Force. Joining them with their wartime historical fiction are Eliza Graham and Elaine Johns.
Queen of gangland crime, Carol Hellier, is bringing her gritty bestselling writing to Boldwood’s already substantial ganglit offering. And to wrap up, Sally-Anne Martyn brings a new set of dual time gothic folk thrillers with a hint of horror to the list.
All authors have been contracted on multi-book deals and will be published in every format simultaneously in all English language territories.
In an exciting and pioneering development in Boldwood’s international expansion, they are delighted to announce a new translation publishing partnership with the Japanese publishing house Bunkyosha Co Ltd. This highly successful and dynamic Japanese company will publish a range of Boldwood titles in all formats from across the catalogue in a three year deal. The deal was brokered by translation rights agent Vicki Satlow.

Effie Campbell writes highly successful, funny, dark, spicy romances, infused with a generous dose of British banter. She lives in Scotland and the first title in her Killer Kin dark romcom series will be published by Boldwood in July 2026.
Tracy Corbett is an award-winning author who writes cosy romance with a sprinkling of magic. Most recently published by Canelo, Boldwood will publish the first book in her new Cornish Magic series in November 2026.
Alex Gough is a successful historical fiction writer with a particular passion for Ancient Rome. Previously published by Canelo, Boldwood will publish his Outcasts of Rome series, the first of which, Hadrian’s Jackals, will be released in November 2026.
Eliza Graham is a successful author of historical fiction, often exploring the impact of the Second World War on contemporary families and the generations that follow. Most recently published by Storm, Boldwood will publish her next new title The Puppet Maker of Prague in December 2026.
Torri Heat is a US bestselling paranormal romance author who is bringing her new series Heresy – where darkness and desire collide – to Boldwood. The first title of which will be published in September 2026.
Carol Hellier is the author of gritty gangland fiction, including the bestselling Ward Brothers series. Inspired by her own life, her books for Boldwood will include compelling gypsy and Irish traveler storylines, the first of which The Stepney Feud will release in August 2026.
KA James is the author of contemporary billionaire romances. She is bringing two series to Boldwood – a big city billionaire series and a small town cowboy romance collection – the first title of which Wild Roots will be published in April 2026.
Elaine Johns is the bestselling author of both contemporary and historical women’s fiction. Previously published by Bookouture, she is writing historical fiction set in wartime Cornwall for Boldwood, the first of which, The Housekeeper’s War, is publishing in July 2026.
Ashlyn Kane and Morgan James are a bestselling writing duo who will be bringing a contemporary queer hockey romance series to Boldwood, full of humour and heart, along with the classic tropes. The first title of which, Playing His Game, will be published in August 2026.
Patrick Larsimont is a successful author of historical fiction, previously published by Sapere Books. Boldwood will publish his new wartime series The Devil’s Brigade, inspired by the true story of the 1st Special Service Force, beginning in October 2026.
Sally-Anne Martyn is a chilling thriller author previously published by Joffe Books, who is writing dual timeline gothic folk thrillers with a hint of horror for Boldwood. The first title will be released in October 2026.
Pamela O’Rourke is an Irish author of contemporary romance. She is bringing a new series of cowboy romances centred around a ranch in Montana to Boldwood. The first title of which will be released in September 2026.
Jessica Thorne writes bestselling fantasy fiction across many fantasy sub-genres. Most recently published by Second Sky, she is bringing a new cosy magical fantasy series to Boldwood, the first title of which The Teacup Dragon Sanctuary will be released in October 2026.
