It’s been 22 days since my two children were sent home from school – one of them had a mild cough (not corona) – and I’m genuinely surprised the majority of my nerves are still intact.
Before the end of a week it looked less like a junk shed and more like a sauna. I can’t hear deliveries, I can’t hear the phone, only the neighbours’ children and the birds. I’m not going back inside.
On Sunday, the cupboard was looking a little empty. It didn’t look great. But I did have a bottle of Merlot, so it was going to be feast time.
