Two strangers. One unforgettable night. A lifetime promise to find each other...

Proud Leading Wren Sally Gordon is travelling to a new posting in Cornwall when an air raid and a cancelled train lead to an unforgettable chance meeting with Sergeant Tom Crawford. In the space of twenty-four hours, two strangers fall deeply in love - then are torn apart by duty.

As letters pass between Falmouth and Tom's secret postings, their bond grows, even as secrecy, danger and the pain of separation shadow their happiness. But when Tom is reported missing after a daring wartime raid, Sally must cling to hope and trust in fate, believing that love - and destiny - will lead them back to each other.

Across classified naval bases and storm-swept shores, one brave Wren must fight to keep a lifetime vow alive.
