Boldwood is an award-winning independent, global fiction publishing house launched in February 2019, with its first titles published in August 2019. The company has published over 160 titles in ebook, audiobook and multi-print formats, signed 60 authors and sold over 4 million books across the world. Boldwood publishes the very best in commercial fiction across crime and thriller, women’s fiction, romance, historical fiction, saga and reading group fiction.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive sales and marketing assistant to support the Boldwood sales and marketing team as it grows its global sales, online presence and reader communities.
You will have proven digital marketing skills, with particular interest in working on engaging commercial fiction campaigns. You will have a wealth of ideas of how to grow Boldwood’s platform globally, and be comfortable using and analysing data. You will have an eye for design, exceptional attention to detail, and be great at organising and prioritising a varied workload with tight deadlines.
The Boldwood team is based nationwide, and as such we welcome applicants located anywhere in the UK.
Key responsibilities will include:
Marketing
- Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager with social media scheduling, community management and creating author marketing materials
- Blog tour and competition admin
- Website maintenance including author sub-sites and e-commerce
- Prize submissions
Sales
- Supporting the Sales Director with monthly retailer submissions, presentations and AI packs
- Amazon store and A+ page maintenance
- Metadata maintenance, testing and analysis, including copy, keywords and categories
- Troubleshooting distribution and Amazon page issues as needed
Admin
- Contract and author questionnaire data input
- Sending author packs, copies, gifts
- Meeting Minutes as required
- Managing enquiries from the Boldwood website
