Hello!

I’d like to introduce The Sea House, published by Boldwood on November 5th. This is the third in the Brittany series, each featuring a new case for Toussaints’ detective agency, and focussing on the lives and loves of the people who work there. The Sea House can be read as part of the series, or as a standalone – you don’t need to have read the other books.

In The Sea House, Mila, Carter and Ceci are asked to find a woman called Astrid Oake. She’s been bequeathed a small parcel, with strict instructions that it be delivered in person, directly to Astrid. If she can’t be found, then the grave of the deceased, Elisabeth Quemener, must be opened and the parcel buried with her.

With nothing to go on except an old photograph of the young Elisabeth and Astrid with a little child between them, the search takes Mila from Brittany to Paris, across the Channel to Brighton, and then to Yorkshire, where dark truths, hidden for decades finally come to light. Will Mila be able to fulfil Elisabeth’s last request, or have the secrets she’s kept all her life died with her?

Thank you to everyone who subscribes to this newsletter. A special thank you for reading my books, and if you decide to give it a go, I really hope that you enjoy The Sea House. There’s still more to come from Mila, Carter and Ceci, more cases to solve and more devastating family secrets to be revealed!

With love and best wishes, Louise x

PS: The launch of The Sea House coincides with the anniversary of the arrival of collie Luna into our lives – a good omen. Here she is enjoying a research trip to Brittany. More pics on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
