Maxine Morrey’s new book Just Do It is available to pre-order! 🧡

In Just Do It, Finn and Lizzie both learn some life lessons for the new year. So, we thought we’d ask them each for one, and I’ll add some too. I hope you find something that appeals or resonates with you, and in the meantime, I’m sending all the good vibes for health, wealth and a successful new year to you all!

🙋‍♂️ Finn: Take the chances you’re given. Don’t put things off until “insert reason here”. None of us know what’s around the corner. If life gives you a chance at something – grab it with both hands!

🙋‍♀️ Lizzie: Don’t go through life with tunnel vision. It’s wonderful if you already love your job, your life, and your routine but it’s good to be brave sometimes. Step outside of that sphere – you never know what might be waiting for you there!

🙋 Maxi:

🌲 Take a cue from nature. Look out of the window right now at the bare branches of the trees. While they might look skeletal, there are lessons to learn from this. The leaves are shed in order to strengthen the tree. Is it time for you to do the same? Time to shed those toxic habits, beliefs or relationships in order to strengthen yourself?

🧘‍♀️ Is there something you want to do this year? Something you always mean to do but never quite get around to? Whether it’s reading more, creating more, learning yoga or walking more, schedule this in your diary – just as you would anything else important like a dentist or doctor’s appointment.

🫧 Self-care is becoming a little bit of a throwaway term but it’s hugely important to take time for yourself. Open your diary and block out that time!

♻️ We’ve spoken about mental decluttering but is this something you could do physically too? It’s incredibly cathartic and liberating to get rid of all the stuff you don’t actually use or need anymore. Various apps are available to sell online and charity shops are usually looking for stock but don’t forget places like National Trust bookshops. While many charity shops won’t accept hardbacks (!) National Trust bookshops will. Your local library will also be thrilled to take recent books in good condition off your hands to help their budget. Olio is a great app for giving away to the local community including food.

🧡 But the most important life lesson is to remember that you are a wonderful, unique human being. Don’t ever stop believing in yourself!
