A Witches’ Hallowe’en Recipe by Elena Collins/Judy Leigh, author of The Witchs Tree 🌙🧪
Ingredients
1 cup of sugar of your choice. White will do.
1 cup pure water
8 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered
Half a cup of fresh mint leaves
1 cup of vodka
1 litre of good ginger ale, chilled
Ice cubes
How to make the brew:
In a small saucepan, bring the sugar and water to a gentle boil. Utter your favourite magic spell to call the one you desire to you as you stir. Cook the mixture and stir until sugar is fully dissolved. Set it aside to cool.
Place the kiwi, mint and sugar syrup in a blender; cover and process until blended. Mutter another incantation. Your true love will not be far away…
Pour the brew into a large pitcher; stir in the vodka and picture yourself with the person of your dreams. Refrigerate the brew until chilled.
Just before serving, stir in the ginger ale and serve over ice to yourself and the one you wish to enchant…by the time the brew has been drunk, they will be forever yours…
